【求助】can any one help to have look at this thing?

Do you think if it is genuine? For the genuie 40Y8726 portable HDD, is there any serial number on the body of the item? I bought one 80GB from eBay and found out the part number of it is 09N4255 which should belong to 40GB USB 2.0 not 80GB model. Obviously I was fooled.

And also on the BOGUS (I believe) 80GB I bought , it says it was manufactured in 2006-07-01. But there is no Lenovo word shown on it. How could that be! This one was manufactured in 2005-08-20 and there is Lenovo word on it.

Furthermore, my BOGUS one has IBM Portable USB 2.0 Hard Drive with Rescue and Recovery wording on the body of it. The one I am interested in has the wording like Portable 80GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive

Now the question is: Is this one genuine?

HDD ASSEMBLY P/N: 40Y8744, HDD FRU:40Y8743 Cable FRU PN: 41N3037. Also comes with cable, ThinkPad labelled pouch, software CD and instruction manual.

I haven't bought it yet. So under the circumstances where I can't open the disclosure, how can I tell if this item is true on eBay? What I was asking is if there is serial number on each genuine IBM accessory?

能否请xingxi_bj 给个机身背面的清晰图？我想看看40GB和80GB的后面的产品描述和序列号。我想我是买了一个低仿产品（高价）。产品描述在机身后是IBM USB2.0 portable hard drive。但买的时候eBay上说的是80GB。哎。还是栽在留英同胞的手里（不是崇洋媚外，只是我一时疏忽，忘了上专门网研究先，事后才问他，他还一口咬定是真的，从中国深圳他叔工厂直接拿货）。

那序列号就是贴的条形码标签了？因为我找不到SN字样。

That's the replies that guy just gave me:

I asked what's the color of the plastic bag holding the HDD.

He replied as "the HD is not in a plastic bag, but has a plastic sticker protecting connections that show that it hasn't been used."

I asked if he can show me the yellow bar code as requested by Xingxi_bj

He replied as "the yellow barcode is irrelevant as it is a stock code number, all relevant IBM numbers are in the photo".

So Xingxi_bj, do you think this guy is fishy?

I got it. You are right. This guy just hesitated to give me what I wanted. So the sticker on the back of the body of the item shows SN, doesn't it? Why isn't the SN printed on it? Is it ok for Xingxi_bj to show me the back of the body of your 80GB HDD if it is convenient?

Hope I am not offending you Xingxi_bj. May I ask if the 40gb and 80gb you bought are directly from the official IBM webste? I have a look at the item I recently bought from the eBay and found that on the box and the body of the enhanced ultrabay multi-burner plus(77P3312), I also can find the wording of manufactured for Lenovo. Maybe mine is also bogus?
