忽然想到个问题，
15寸的光驱位是通过一个延长板延长的。
既然光驱位接口改成了sata的，那么这个延长板就不能用原来的了，也得定制一个。

Some suggestions:

It would be nice if there could be user accessible test pads or vias for all or at least some unused USB, SATA and PCIe BGA balls of the PCH.This would enable allbuyers who can solder the addition of own extensions using those ports.

For example, I would like to be able to add a connector in the ultrabay to use self made PCIe based ultrabay modules. On T61 15.4 " widescreen boards, lenovo routed one PCIe lane to the same connector that is also used for their ultrabay serial/parallel adapter (FRU P/N 40Y8124) which uses the LPC interface. For details, see page 67 of the Genbu_5W schematic 42W9293. They seem to have disabled the corresponding PCIe clock outputs on the clock generator via I²C, but if the corresponding pins of the connector are wired to the clock outputs of the PCIe slot for WWAN, PCIe based ultrabay modules do work. I tested this with a self made two-port USB 3.0 PCIe ultrabay module. With the T70 board, I would like to be able to use a self made PCIe based serial + parallel ultrabay module because I still need those old ports for work.


If you can find a source for the connector for the T60 or T61 expresscard/PC-cardslot assembly and have an unused PCIe lane, you could also support the expresscard slot.
