INTRODUCTION
Wndmifit is a windows tool that will allow an HP Authorized servicepartner to program the Serial Number and Model number on certain HP, EliteBook, ProBook branded notebooks. Please notethat the tool is not supported in Windows.

Platforms Supported:
HP: mt40, mt41

HP ZBook: 14, 15, 17

HP EliteBook: 2170p, 2570p,8470p, 8470w, 8570p, 8570w, 8770w, Folio 9470m, Revolve 810, 820 G1, 840 G1, 850G1, 940 G1

How to Use:

1. Obtain WinPEbootable media (or windows XP, Vista, 7).

2. Download the zip file to a directory on your hard drive.

3. From that drive and directory, unzip the downloaded file to get the file wndmifit.exe,BiosConfigUtility.exe, and oledlg.dll.

4. Copy the above files to the bootable media obtained in step 1.

5. Power on or restart the computer to boot the affected notebook on thebootable media above.

6. Run wndmifit.exe and fill in all information to program the serial, modelnumbers and others.

Distribution:

This tool is HP Confidential. Under no circumstances should this tool be givento a customer directly. This tool is made available to Authorized HP servicepartners and self-maintainers throughCSN only.
